Hồng-Ân Trương visiting artist presentation.
Using photography, video, and sound installation, Hồng-Ân Trương engages questions about history and how knowledge is produced through media forms. Often drawing on her lived experience as the daughter of Vietnamese refuges her work explores historical and political themes, especially around war, violence, and race.

This free presentation is open to all and will be followed by refreshments. Generous support has been provided by the Art Department, the Arts Division, and The University of California.
Up to twelve projects will be awarded each year (for two years) with funding up to $2500 each. Successful applicants are required to submit a summary statement and 3 high-res documentive images after the funds have been used. The Placemaking Open Classroom Mini-grant should be acknowledged on all project publicity materials.
